When the temperatures cool off in the north, luxury beach destinations, like Playa del Carmen or Cancun, are just reaching their peak climate. In honor of this, the Farnesi Travel team is doing our part to research all of the best resorts in Mexico so we can book unforgettable getaways for our clients.
Warm Up This Winter by Planning an Unforgettable Mexican Getaway
We'll be flying south shortly and here's a list of the top resorts in Mexico where we'll do our homework so you don't have to.
The Royal in Playa del Carmen. This all-inclusive resort isn't new but Hyatt's ownership is. The Royal is Hyatt's first foray into the all-inclusive resort world and we look forward to experiencing something new.
Karisma Resorts. We've enjoyed the luxurious accommodations of Cancun's Karisma Resorts in the past. This time, we anticipate staying in their new Generations brand, which is designed specifically for families. In addition to both gourmet adult and kid-friendly meals, this beachside resort also includes all the baby amenities so families can minimize their packing loads.
Hard Rock Hotel and Heaven. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Hard Rock Hotel's Heaven, which is an adult-only resort. If your idea of a vacation is free from the hustle and bustle of children, this may be the destination for you. Among other amenities, it has a private white stand beach and an exclusive snorkeling area.
We're also extremely excited to stay at two brand new luxury resorts in Cancun. The first is Nizuc, which is a Preferred Hotel. The second is Secrets Playa Mujeres, which will open on November 15th and features a fantastic new golf course and to-die-for spa.
One of our favorite things about the Cancun and Playa del Carmen region is its rich Mayan history.
While we understand the allure of checking into Mexican resorts and never leaving, we do recommend you hit at least some of the area's cultural hot spots. Top on our list would be Chichen Itza, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We also make a point to visit the ruins at Tulum, a Mayan city dedicated to the sea trade of turquoise and jade. Ready to warm up this winter on your own Mexican getaway?
